DX-1G problem

Detailed Review:
My new DX-1G hs proved a great disappointment. The ambient light outside the camera makes it extremely difficult to make out an image in the viewfinder. So much so that instead of looking at the subject through the viewfinder, I simply point the camera and shoot, relying on Photoshop to allow me to crop and re-orientate the image in post-production.
Even though a small hood is provided for the LCD monitor window, it is nowhere near sufficient to eliminate the strong reflections, etc, from the outside light.
I would not recommend this product to a friend.
